I hope you don’t need to be encouraged in this season of thanks to reflect on all of the wonderful blessings of God in your life. It’s a great time to recognize all of the things that we take for granted each and every day. That’s easy to do and we rarely thank God for those things until we see someone close to us lose them. It’s also a great time to teach our children/grandchildren to be thankful for what they have and for what has been provided for them by the labor of the hands of others. There are millions of people who will spend this Thanksgiving without even a thought to it’s significance. Let’s teach them to cherish God and thank Him for His wonderful gift of this country. To cherish their families and friends above the “things” that the world puts such focus on and to appreciate all of the work that was done to provide what they have. Unfortunately our world continues to become more and more selfish and the “I deserve everything just because I’m me” attitude rules and reigns even among Christians.
This Thanksgiving let’s all remember that we are nothing, deserve nothing, and would have nothing without the Grace and Mercy of Almighty God.
I’ll leave you with this……….
“If I did not see that the Lord kept watch over the ship, I should long since have abandoned the helm. But I see Him, through the storm strengthening the tackling, handling the yards, spreading the sails, aye, more, commanding the very winds! Should I not be a coward if I abandon my post? Let Him govern, let Him carry us forward, let Him hasten or delay! We will have no fear of what may come.”

We sang at a Wild Game Feast this weekend (Saturday). They fed around 525 people up in Winthrop Harbor, IL. They had everything Bear, deere, goose, pheasant, salmon, elk, hog, fried turkey, trout, and more. They work hard at it and always feed and minister to a lot people in one weekend. We sang for their church on Sunday in their two services and had a great time there too.
Tonight we finished up the trip in Hammond, IL. Smaller church but a lot of fun. Great spirit and a geat group of folks.
Heading out to AL and MS next week. Still working on the possible VLOG (Video Log). I’ll keep you posted.

We’ve finally had a couple of days off here after a busy busy stretch. We sang in 16 services in 13 days during that time.
The first part of the trip was in Mississippi. We started off promoting a Bible Conference in Waynesboro, Mississippi at a banquet. The bible conference will be in November. We went from there to sing for a bible conference in Purvis, MS. Had a great time as usual and got to hear some awesome preaching. Emir Caner and John Sullivan were there in the services we missed. But the ones we got to sing in had Dr. Don Wilton and Dr. Fred Luter. One of the grea t blessings of what we do is getting to hear great men of God preach The Word.
We stayed over in Mississippi for concerts in Goss and Clara. From there Sons of The Father headed North to Mt Zion, IL for Sunday and then to Carterville for Sunday night. The 13 days were closed out by doing 3 nights of music for a revival in Trenton, IL.
Good to be home!!!

We spent the last week in Laurel, Mississippi at a James Messer Bible Conference. It was a great 4 days but a full 4 days. We sang in 9 services in those 4 days but got to hear some awesome preaching. The preachers for the conference were Jimmy Jackson, Emir Caner, Don Wilton, Johnny Hunt, Jerry Vines, and Fred Luter. Not a bad lineup huh?
It was our first time hearing Don Wilton (Pastor in Spartanburg, SC) and what a great preacher he is. A very genuine down to earth guy. We greatly enjoyed getting to know him.
We’re headed home, as I type, and of course I’m anxious to get home and see my girls. We’ll head to Alabama for the weekend for two concerts. Keep us in your prayers.
In His Grip,
Brent Snyder
